Little Mama

No need for a bunch of captions here! I just love bathtub shots. She was so gentle with her baby in the tub today. Enjoy!!

Too tight?

Kali has done great with barrettes but rubber bands are a totally new ball game. With a little bit of struggle we get them in... but then she's mad for a bit! As you can see in this picture. I promise that she only looks like her pony tail is tight.

Side-line Shots!

It has been a crazy soccer season. The games were either cancelled due to rain and/or snow or it was too cold to get Kali out. So... my pictures are limited to two games.
This is Kali and her buddy Tommy... or "Ommy" as she calls him. This game was colder than we expected. Kali ended up sitting in the car with Nana Foley.
Ahhh, what a flirt! Kali is always kissing on this boy. I'm not sure who likes it more... Kali or little man Lopez. He always smiles when Kali comes running up to him and then he just stands there and takes it like a man. Should I be concerned by her aggressive personality?? :-)

Later on Kali was bored with the game and started cleaning up the field behind us.
"Here you go guys, you left your firstaid box behind!" (grunt... huff... pant)

"Oh... someone left some trash behind!
"I'll throw it away for them!"
(Don't worry, we washed hands after this!)
Oh look, the one on the left is Kimberly... I did get one shot of the games. Too bad my camera isn't all that great! They tied this game up... it was a good one!!

Soccer comes to an end! :-(

Well, the weather and busy beaver Kali kept me from getting may pictures of soccer this year... but here is a little blurb on how the season went. The record for the Blitz FC was 3 wins, 3 losses, and 2 ties. Nathan scored 2 goals with many assists. Kimberly is our wall of a defensive player and saved many goals... even though she had no goals this season she was quite the asset to the team. So all in all it was a pretty good season. This was our second season in U-12 and have gotten so much better since last season. I have to pictures to post from the sidelines but they will come later! We have an end of season party in two weeks... pictures from that to come later as well!

Cowboy Up!

Papa Foley took Nathan to get a cowboy hat the other night for his program. Kali wanted to see how good it looked on her. Not too shabby!!
Nathan had a program at school last Thursday and this was his costume. The theme was around the campfire songs. He did a great job. I was totally that mom in the audience trying to get his attention. The cute thing was that he kinda waved back. He makes a good cowboy huh?

This is Nathan's goofy face! I wonder if anyone told him his face would freeze if he made faces at the camera? What a face that would be to carry around all the time! :-)

Side Walk Chalk Rocks!!

Kali just loves to push the stroller around. Check out the short shorts... first time of the season!
Me and all three kiddos were out playing with side walk chalk last week, it was so fun! I asked Kali what I should draw and she promptly said DORA. So, here is my rendition of Dora the Explorer. I started to make a face and then was distracted by Kali trying to push the stroller from here to China. It rained that night anyways... next time Dora will get a face!

Next she wanted me to draw Boots the monkey... um, would you believe I'm not an artist?

This is fun because I did something similar to this in the sand in Florida on our last beach trip... I think the water washed it away promptly after I wrote it... soon after this picture was taken Nathan spit water all over the "SUN" Oh well!

The cutest little no you ever heard!

Kali loves the work NO! these days. What's cute is that she smiles like she is playing a game with you. Enjoy our little cutie pie being a stinker!

Back yard buddies...

There is a 10 acre lot of trees behind our house and on it they have two noisey donkeys and one super friendly horse. Kali noticed they were out back so we scrambled for apples or carrots and came up with oranges instead.
Our buddy Treble.
Treble wasn't too interested in the orange slices... but he sure did let Kali go in for a kiss. It was really hard taking a picture while holding her because I had to keep an eye on his mouth in case he decided to nibble on my "little peanut!" Needless to say Kali LOVED LOVED LOVED
getting close to the horse. I can't wait to take her to the zoo.

The donkey's sure did like the oranges!!
Oh yeah and so did Kali!

Spring has sprung... finally!

Everyone has been waiting so patiently for spring to arrive! After this winter it's obvious that Spring doesn't come just because the calendar says so!
Kali discovered the my Hasta's are coming up... she nearly pulled them out!!
So I directed her towards the grass where she found some "pretties" as she called them. What a sweet little baby girl!! She said to me, "Here Mama... pretty!!" She won't wear her sunglasses yet so she pretty much always looks down when we are outside. Check out the dirty hands... this one will love the sandbox for sure!

Play-date!

Miss Kali had quite the day when I had update last week. She went over and played with Auntie Manny. Thanks to Amanda we have documentation to ooh and ahh over!!
I like to think she was saying, "Where is Mama!" The truth of the matter is that she didn't even know I was gone until she had reached her limit of fun and was super sleepy... right before I got back to pick her up! Go figure!! :-)
The most anticipated part of going to Auntie Manny and Uncle Chuck's house is "cousin" Bobo! She loves this snotty-snoring while awake-blind doggy! She loves on him, hugs him, and sometimes even kisses him... yucky!! Oh yeah, he gets excited too!!
Amanda took Kali to Penguin Park.

Where she went down the slide...
had a little swing...

went down the slide some more...

and rocked on a ducky!!

Afterwards, Kali really enjoyed Amanda's take on dinner!! I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!!

At the end of the day this was all that was left of Miss Kali!! A sleepy girl... wearing Uncle Chuck's hat. Thanks for a great day Auntie Manny!!!

Who loves Dora??

This morning Mike and I wanted to watch a movie. Miss Kali was of course not happy to shut of her Dora movie. After a long night of her fussing and crying and not sleeping either in her bed or our bed I gave in to avoid more crying... and set up her moving on the laptop.
She didn't know that putting movies on Daddy's computer was possible!
She was captivated by her movie... it was so cute! Cute until she decided that she needed to pound on the keys and open up the disc drive!! Arg!! So, I went searching for the portable DVD player and nestled it in with some of her toys.
This picture is a bit dark but still funny! She was in love with the mini DVD player and kept blowing kisses at Dora and Boots on the screen. At one point she offered Dora a fruit snack. What a nice friend she is!

Bridal Shower for Amanda!!

Saturday night we had a bridal shower for Amanda. Thanks to Traci, Emily, Rebecca, Lisa, and Mindy it went off without a hitch! The food was wonderful and the drinks kept on flowing... just as we planned! Now... to those of you interested... I may be persuaded to cater for very small events! :-)

Check out the spread: Asian inspired crab cakes, carmelized onion toast, pear and walnut spinach salad, mango salsa, crackers and dip, quiche of assorted flavors, mini orange cheese cakes, and grilled pineapple with rum spiked whipped cream! It was soooo tastey!! We love you Manny!!
Here is Kali, baby Alice, Molly, Erin, and baby Tristan. Kali would not leave their sides. She kept running back to them pointing out to everyone that they were "babies". She's so funny! A lot of people came to the shower from work. Here is Meagan and Elizabeth eating some of the yummy food! Amanda and Misty. They have been friends since first grade!! We were so glad that she could come to the party. As do most kids her age, Kali is obsessed with babies! She would not leave their sides. Kali kept taking Tristan's binkie and putting it in her mouth and then giving it back. Silly girl!! Kali and Amanda's favorite part of the party was present time! Not sure if Kali understood that the gifts weren't for her... either way she had a blast! Her favorite gift, Kali that is, was the dirt devil that Cousins Erin and Molly gave to Amanda!:-) OOOOHHH! Toilet lid cover!! Amy Diggs had worked so hard to fold up the tissue paper nice and neat and then Kali tore it all to shreds... oopsie!

Shopping anyone...

The other day I had the fridge door open for a good 20-30 minutes cleaning it out. Well, Miss Kali kept herself quite busy while I cleaned. She kept coming back and forth from the door. I figured that she was just stacking condiments again...
Is that a guilty face or what??!!

Once I finally got her to stop long enough to look into the basket... I noticed that she had fill the cart with food from the fridge! I think that she had Mexican food on her mind... note the sour cream x2 and the salsa x2!

A little girl and her Coco Baby!

Whenever we let Coco outside Kali watches the door like a hawk! She loves Coco so much and feels so bad for him to be outside! She cries and screams if we don't let him in as soon as she sees him at the door.

I just had to post this picture because she looks so tiny and cute in her little onesy! Hard to believe that she is 19 months old now!! Sniff sniff... my baby is growing up too fast!

John Deere Green!

Kali and I spotted Daddy getting our future garden all spiffied up!! Okay, actually, Kali spotted the John Deere riding mower. All winter we've had to hear her freak out about "tractor... tractor" when we go into the garage. Now that it's out she can't hardly stand it!!
Kali loves to pick up dirt and move it from one spot to another. Then she likes to wipe her hands off on her shirt. It's LOVELY!! I know she looks like she's in the bathroom but actually she was staring at the tractor...

Gotta check the tires... make sure the are safe!!

Let's take a look at what is under the hood of this baby!!

She had to help Daddy bring the tractor up from the backyard. Kali is really the only one who knows how to drive that thing!!

Another lap Daddy... I'm not ready to go in yet!!
