Some of the things that Kali loves....

Chasing Kimberly and Nathan around the house... that is one of her most favorite things to do!! They crawl around on the floor and let her get really close and then crawl away as fast as they can. She laughs so hard that sometimes she stops and puts her arm on the wall. It is so amusing. Where do they pick this stuff up? Sometimes I wonder if Kimberly and Nathan are more amused or if Kali is, either way we all seem to enjoy it!

Her baby doll! She loves to carry her from room to room and sometimes sit and read to her. She's already acting like a little mommy...

M&Ms!! As many as she can get her hands on!! Good thing that we have great dental insurance!

A rediscovered love...

Kali found her swing in the closet the other day and decided that she still likes to swing and watch TV. As you can see, she may be a bit too big for the baby swing!!
I actually had to push the swing to get it started!! :-)
Look at how she pulled her feet in to make it look like she fits it perfectly! So cute!!

Go Jayhawks...beat those Tigers!

We had a full house the night of the KU/MU basketball game. As you can imagine, KU won. Dinner was grand... Daddy made his famous homemade pizza and we chowed down!! Grandma and Papa, and Chuck and Amanda came over. It was a good time!!
Kali got this singing pony from Aunt Traci for her 1 year birthday, and she still LOVES LOVES LOVES it!! She was rocking on it so hard that she was going across the living room... and entertaining everyone in the room of course!
I think that Kali was trying to explain to Auntie Manny that she's not really the right size for the horsey. As you can see, Miss Manny is having a really good time... maybe she really does need her own pony!!

Usually Kali wants nothing to with Chuck. Seriously she cries when he looks her in the eye. Well, now a days, she wants him at a distance and he better not leave the room. Daddy and Chuck and Papa were in the basement watching the KU/MU game and she kept running to the door and pointing and saying... Chuck... Chuck... Chuck. It's funny and he's very confused about it! When I took this picture of Amanda and Chuck I believe that Kali was across the room pointing to him and chanting his name.

Here Amanda is showing Kali a video of Bo... the big slobbery English Bulldog... and Kali is cracking up!! If you can't tell, she is lowering her head and laughing very dramatically. She kept picking up the camera and saying... "BoBo" to Amanda. Very cute!!

Kali, Manny, and Grandma just chillin before the basketball game started. Kali kept pointing out all of the Jayhawks on everyone's shirt... except Daddy's and Uncle Chuck's of course!! She just loves to play with her toys too, especially when someone will play with her. She was showing Grandma how Coco plays King Kong in her People village! :-)
Kali and Papa are becoming very close... thank goodness! It's hard when we live so far away from each other to used to each other. Papa knows that as long as his pockets are full of M&Ms that Kali will not stray away from him!! :-)

Kali on the move!

Here she is just hamming it up for the camera. It's her signature smile/squint/pose for when the camera comes out. It's super dooper cute!!
It's nice now that Kali loves to feed herself. If you can't tell what she's eating it's refried beans and gold fish crackers!! :0) What a combo. She cleaned that plate... yummy!!

We have had and explosion of "Little People in our living room!! It's amazing how long she will play with all of her toys. I have to admit it drives me crazy to see her mix and match all of the people and pets because I really prefer that each person and animal be placed in it's appropriate place... at all times! :-) Kali has something else in mind if you can imagine!!

Kali loves to follow me around the house and tries to help me whenever she can. When Daddy snapped this picture, she stopped vacuuming and decided to make her signature picture face!

Here Fishy Fishy!!

Kimberly and Nathan have been whining that they want more animals. Animals like turtles, spiders, snakes, another cat. Anyhow, I said NO to all of them except fish! So, to surprise them, Mike and I went out and bought them both a 5 gallon fish tank and rocks and set them up in their rooms. After school they both picked out 3 fish and an algae eater. They were so excited about the fish... more so than I thought they would be. I suppose we got some serious brownie points with this one!! Just look at how happy their faces are!!

As you can see, Nathan is quite pleased with his fish! He told Mike at bed time, " I'm so happy!! I can see my fish while I fall asleep. I love you. Good night." He was very matter of fact and grinning from ear to ear. I didn't realize how happy these fish would make him.
Not quite sure what to say about Kimberly's pose here... but I guess that one thing for sure is that she too loves her fish!! She can't wait to watch them as she falls asleep! She came up with some funny names too... Jack, Jill, Billy Bob, and... hmmm, can't remember the other.

Kali isn't big enough to have her own fish tank yet... but Kimberly said that she'd teach her how to feed them when she got a little bit bigger. We taught her to say, "Fishy." She loves to watch them swim around.

Future Teen Driver!

Kali has a little push/ride on car that she adores!! Now that she has learned to get on and off of it all by herself, you can find her in the silliest places doing the cutest things! Here she's getting ready to take off and tour the house. The funny thing is that she turns the makeshift key to "start" her car. It makes an engine sound that she loves!

Uh Oh, Diego is on the phone!! She is already chatting it up on her cell phone while driving. I found her the other day in the hallway laughing outloud while on her "phone". Funny the kind of stuff they pick up from watching us!

Random Foley Fun!

Not sure if it's common knowledge but most if not all of the Foley's have a sweet tooth! Well, it for sure is common knowledge that I almost ALWAYS have candy out in the living room. Well, now is the time for conversation hearts. As you can see, Kali found the tray and wasn't going to let her hand stay empty for very long. I had to put the candy up shortly after this picture was taken because she had 8 hearts in her mouth and her cheeks were bulging!! She has zero self control at this point! :-)
Mike calls this one duck hunting! Nathan has this toy shot gun and Kali was soooo amazed by it. She was carrying the play gun under her arm at one point... unfortunately I was unable to capture it. Mike said she looked like Elmer Fudd with her belly all pushed out... maybe I'll get it some other time??!!

I realized that there are no pictures of me on this blog. So... for the first time ever I took some pictures of me and Kali. She thought it was so fun that I was taking pictures of her on my lap. I have probably 10 of these pictures on my camera. She kept looking back at me and saying "Mama" and pointing at the camera. What Kali wants... Kali gets!! :0)

Here is a random display of pictures from the last two days. I am sad to say that Miss Kimberly didn't make it into these pictures... she loves her room and her karaoke as well! One of these days I will capture a photo of her singing it up in her room!! Until then I will sneak wherever I have to to get that perfect pic of her. As for the photos I do have... they are very random... but cute and give you guys an insight into our home!!

What a morning!!

Check out the wild hair, the pink and white polka-dot jammies, and the pink tennis shoes with no socks. Talk about a serious fashion statement!!
Kali joined in with us calling for CoCo. She was upset that he was so far away!!

Kali likes to help her Dada!! If you listen closely she's telling him how to do it the right way... where would Dada be without his little helper??!!

When we got up this morning it was a whopping 58 degrees!! So... Mike decided to take down the Christmas lights. Since Kali has learned to walk, it has never been warm enough for her to run around outside. Well, today she decided that it was the day to do just that!! :-)

Family time is the best time!!

Auntie Manny played in the loft with Kali. Her favorite part was when Manny slid down the stairs with Kali on her lap... Kali was saying "Bump" each time Amanda did. She LOVED IT!! And she loves her Auntie Manny!!
Kali loves her Grandma... and blowing kisses!!

We have soooo much fun with Grandpa... She's showing him how to put chapstick on the right way!!

On Saturday Kali and I went to visit Grandma and Grandpa up in Excelsior Springs. Auntie Manny came with us too. Grandma was going to show me how to use the sewing machine and Kali really wanted to play with Grandpa... who she calls Papa for now since she can't say "Grandpa" yet. Anyhow, Miss Kali played outside with Manny and the dogs. She also wrestled with Grandpa and watched a little bit of KU basketball!! It was a very nice visit. Until just recently Kali was kinda intimidated by Grandpa and when he would talk loud to her, this time there were no tears and she even gave him lots of kisses!!! Now you know that Grandpa really enjoyed that visit more than any of us did! :-)

Through the Eyes of Kimberly!!

The last thing you see before... WACK!!!

Kimberly and Nathan like to pick up the camera and snap off as many pictures as they can. They are usually silly pictures that I will never use... like pictures of a commercial that was on TV or one of Nathan's toe! Well, Kimberly took this on back in December and I just had to keep it. I like to call it "Kali Kong" through the eyes of Kimberly!! We affectionately call Miss Kali "Kali Kong" because she likes to trash her Little People village right after I have taken the time to organize them to my liking. I hope you enjoy this photo as much as we all do!!

Happy New Year!!

She says "Happy New Year!!"
Kimberly started reading to the kids, they

were all so captivated by the book!

Libby posing for my camera!

Mike, Kali, and I didn't make it to Midnight... but Kimberly and Nathan did! Things didn't go as planned unfortunately. They were both supposed to have a friend over to watch movies, snack till they're sick, and play games. Well, we ended up watching movies as a family where we introduced them to our favorite scary movies!! So far no word of nightmares!! As for New Year's Day we had Kiley, Ashley, Libby and Landon over for "Mike's Famous Omlet Bar" and it was a hit! The kids all played together and we had a good time. Oh yeah, mostly everyone came over for the Mizzou/Arkansas Cotton Bowl game. Can you tell I'm not a Mizzou fan?? :-) Go Hawks!!
