CUTE!!

Here are a few pictures of playing outside.
She's finally getting the hang of her Dora tricycle so we decided to try out the Pooh helmet that seems to have found it's way into our garage. She loved it for a little bit!
Doesn't she just look super cute?

I guess you're never TOO old...

The other day Kali threw a fit when we started out for a walk... and so instead of pushing around a crying kid I turned around... and with tears streaming down her face... took Kali out of the stroller and we played at the house instead. I figured I would try to make sense of the clutter in the garage, including putting away the exersaucer from 12 months ago. Cousin Joseph was using it and returned it a few weeks ago. Kali insisted on getting in! Check out her hair!! Pony tails are a wrestling match these days. :-) Enjoy the pictures.

This wasn't "I want out" ... she was screeching at me for taking her picture!!
Even on the tallest setting she couldn't stand up!! After about 30 minutes she finally was okay with getting out and playing with her big girl toys.

Congrats Misty!

This weekend Kali and I went to Misty's bridal shower. Amanda and Misty have been best friends since 3rd grade. Congratulations Misty and David!
The shower started off with Kali getting a puppy and carrier from Grandma and Papa Coldwell. Grandma is very very good at spoiling Kali! The puppy is a little girl Yorkie and she named it Coco Baby just like our dog. She's so funny with it and pulls it around by the leash.
One of Misty's cousin's kept feeding Kali icing off of her cake... lucky for Kali she didn't like the icing!!
See Mama... my hands are dirty! Kali can't stand to have dirty hands!!
Kali is really good at tracking down the next youngest kid in the room! This is Misty's cousin Alyssa... she was a good sport and played with Kali throughout the shower.
She would not leave Alyssa's side!
"HI MAMA!!"
Kali was so excited every time that Misty opened a gift. She would yell out "OOOHHHHH!" Come to think about it she didn't even do that at her own birthday party! Maybe we should have bought her housewares instead of toys for her birthday??
She just couldn't get enough!!
Aunt Manny co-hosted the party... good job! It was a lot of fun!!

Dora likes to shop!

The balloon that I got for Kali for her birthday is still holding on and still mostly full of air. She likes to drag it around like it's a life sized Dora to play with. Here she is taking Dora shopping!

Playing house...

Kali got this Dora house from Aunt Traci for her birthday. Apparently she thinks that it's
"life sized" and can accommodate her little tooshy!

"Dora.. Boots.. KISS"

Watch Me Play!

Kali plays so well on her own. This is from Wednesday morning before bath time. I had gotten her down to her diaper and she took off and I found her here at the Dora House!!

This may not be the most interested post I have ever done but it's cute to watch her play!

Krazy Kids!

I worked 5 out of the last 8 days and in the middle of that little stretch I came home to a couple of goofy kids!! Mike forewarned me that Nathan had been working on something for a while. Funny thing is that he had his computer taken away for a few days and was kind of FORCED to do something creative!!
Here is Nathan demonstrating his "redneck bench press"...
and now the redneck curl bar!
Finally the redneck javelin! He is so funny sometimes!
I left the fridge open for a second because I had a lot of stuff in my hands and turned around to see this...
Kali had gotten into the lunch meat/cheese drawer and helped herself to a slice of cheese.

And then fed it to Coco! Boy was he excited for the unexpected treat!!

Come on in... there's plenty of room!

Kali got a Dora Butterfly Garden ball pit for her birthday. Here is Kali and Kimberly trying it out. They played and played and played this weekend when Kimberly was home.

Happy Birthday Kali!!

Well, it happened! She turned two... she is no longer a baby. Kali Ruth is officially a big girl toddler. Since turning 2 on September 5, 2008 at 4:10 am, she has been so lively and well, sassy is for sure the word. She is having full on conversations with everyone and I love it! She plays with her babies: feeding them, trying to change their diapers, and putting them to sleep. When did this transformation happen? I'm sad that she is growing up so fast but at the same time so very excited to see how she grows and changes over the years. Happy Birthday Kali!!
Aunt Traci was bidding for the favorite gift again. Last year she got Kali a little rocking pony that sings when you pinch it's ears. Kali still runs to it and wants to ride it. Here is the Dora Playhouse... she LOVES IT! As you can see she is trying to get inside of it through the front door.
Grandma Coldwell surprised us with the crib that her grandpa made her when she was 2. Then me and my sisters played with it when we were little. Now that I have a little one it was time to pass it on! Mom played a trick on me saying that she couldn't find the crib and that she thought that Dad had thrown it away. She brought it out when we started opening presents... it was a wonderful surprise! I have memories of tucking out kitty into this crib in the basement when we first moved to Missouri... I hope she loves it as much as I always did! Thanks Mom and Dad!!

I had her interested in opening presents for a few minutes.
Then it was back to playing with her babies! Kaelyn and I opened up most of Kali's presents ourselves. Kali is very easily distracted by her babies!!
Look at her dress. Nana Foley made it for her. See the big pink buttons? They are Kali's favorite part. She pinches them to make them touch and then touches them to her nose.
Here is the cake. She was soooo excited to see that she had a Dora cake.

She tried to blow out the candles... Mama had to help a little bit!!

In all Kali really just wanted to play with her babies. She is such a good Mama!

Brother and Sister LOVE!

Since Kimberly moved in with her mom, Kali has started getting interested in playing with Nathan. Now, when Kimberly comes home Nathan gets pushed aside! :-) Sorry Nathan, the girls have to stick together! Anyhow, here are some cute pictures of Nathan and Kali.
**Please excuse the clutter of our living room, an almost 2 year old really knows how to clutter up a room like I never ever realized!**
Nathan really likes the purple Dora chair!!
He watched almost and entire movie in that chair! Grandma Coldwell did say that it would hold up to 100lbs!
Cuddle time! In the evening she HAS to be where he is and doing what he is doing. Half the time Nathan is annoyed, most of the time he loves it! Don't get too comfy Nate Dawg... Sister comes home this weekend!! :-)

Goofy afternoon!

Sometimes we just laugh and act silly... today I documented some of it!
We started off before bath time wearing Manny's hat. She constantly pulls it on her head and chases me around the house yelling out... Manny's hat... Manny's hat! She loves it and especially loves that it used to be Manny's hat!
We were rolling around on the floor and just started shooting pictures... Man oh man she is so much fun!!
She sticks her tongue out ALL THE TIME like I did when I was little. My mom keeps telling me that she is sooooo much the way I was!! If that is so then she is on to great things! :-)
Her raspberry is a little bit more subdued than mine!
Kali said: "All done Mama"

She can be so cute doing so little!

Kali has a baby that she carries everywhere with her. We take it to Mom and Me class at the gym, it goes to dinner when we go out, and for sure it goes to the store and rides in the school bus cart!
Check out Kali and the 50 cent garage sale baby watching Dora together!
She caught me with the camera and tried to steal it... I won she lost! And what a cute picture that came out of the wrestling match!

Labor Day Shoot Out!!

For Labor Day this year, all of the guys went dove hunting up North. Here is the role call: Grandpa Coldwell, Uncle Chuck, Uncle Chad, Uncle Ray, Mike, Nathan, and Clayton. The guys were up super super early because according to Papa Coldwell you have to be in the field 45 minutes before dawn. In all 7 dove were shot and 5 were retrieved. Mike oopsied and shot a blackbird... they didn't bring that one home! He states that he was just warming up! Below is a movie of Nathan shooting a big shotgun for the second time. If you know anything about guns you'll know that his legs are too close together and he's lucky that he didn't fall down. They had a really good time and Nathan can't wait to go again!!

******

It sounds like Nathan shot the gun three times but it really was only one shot, at the end when he bucks back!
