Is it really Spring yet??

These on again off again warm days really have us confused! Now that Kali has been outside to run around a few times here and there she doesn't understand that sometimes the temperature drops and she has to wear long sleeves again! Well, here we are outside on Tuesday... soaking up the quasi warm weather!!
Nathan took this picture... see how she is eye balling my barrette??
See how I no longer have a barrette in my hair and it's quite a mess?? When she wants something she goes for gusto!! It was a wrestling match to get her hands off of my barrette but I won... with the help of Nathan that is! He did stop long enough to document the aftermath of my struggle!!
I tell ya... Coco must love his family!! Kali is so rough with him and he just takes it, anything to get a hug or a scratch behind the ears! Lately she runs up to him and yells Coco move!! Bossy little girl... but so cute when she does it. The funny thing is that Coco will not argue with her. He moves, lets her take her place, and then comes back and tries to get as close to her as possible! here Kali and Nathan are loving on Coco... even though it looks like Kali is being bossy!! :-)

Rub a Dub Dub!!

Bath time is a fun time around here! We usually take an AM bath because it's crazy around the Foley House in the PM! Kali loves to get in with Mommy or Daddy... obviously neither of us will be on the pictures though! :-)
Kali loves to fill up the bowl from the faucet and dump it on her head!!

Going back for more! Check out the belly profile... big belly, no butt or legs! What a cutie pie!!
We always finish morning bath time with brush time!! Kali likes to use her new Pooh toothbrush. I guess you could say that Kali likes to suck off the training tooth paste and then Mommy finishes it off... which is usually a struggle but always gets done!! What do yah think of the slicked up comb over? Her hair is so long these days that if we don't comb it over wet it is in her face all day.

Easter all day!!

Easter Morning started off with 3/5 Foley's. Kimberly and Nathan came home from their mom's house after lunch time. So, we did Kali's basket and then got ready for church. We didn't stay at church for very long because Kali was up super early and didn't eat much for breakfast... and well that's not a good equation for a happy baby in our house! Enjoy the pictures of our busy Easter day!!
A new Dora book was the first item Kali came to in her Easter basket. She LOVES Dora more than you could imagine!
A new Pooh toothbrush made her day! She kept saying "Teeth!! Teeth!!" We went and brushed her teeth very soon after!

Kali got Disney character socks in her basket and was sooooo excited. She kept showing them to me and laughing and then wanted to wear them... all at the same time!! I think that she liked them!
Kali in the car on the way home from church. It was cold outside and she doesn't like tights so I pulled her white socks up.

Look at how snug her dress is!! Mean mommy!!! I guess I didn't take into account the "Foley Belly" when reading the sizing chart!! Always go up a size when it cinches around the belly!! :-)

Papa Coldwell took over egg hunting helper title so Mommy could take some pictures. I'm still not sure who was having more fun! Kali still won't walk in the grass without holding hands so he went to every single egg with her. It was super cute!!

LOOK!! Another egg!!
Kimberly jumped in and helped hunt for eggs too! Kali figured out that Kimberly had insider info since she hid the eggs!!
This is all that we saw of Kaelyn after she saw all of the eggs in the grass! Kimberly was our official bunny for the day. I think that there were more that 50 eggs and only 2 1/2 kids to hunt for them!! :-)
Little Joseph even got in on the egg hunt!

Kali was soooo excited to show Daddy all of the eggs that she collected!
All of the Foley Minis! It was a chilly windy Easter but I think you can tell by their faces that it was a lot of fun! Other people that came to easter were Grandma and Papa Coldwell, Nana and Papa Foley, Uncle Chuck and Auntie Amanda and Rebecca, Aunt Traci and Cousin Jared, and Uncle Ray and Aunt Tisha with Kaelyn and Joseph.

Easter EGGstravaganza!!

Today we colored eggs and it was sooooo fun!! Kimberly and Nathan took their time and chose their colors very carefully.... Kali on the other hand was all about smashing the shells!!!
Look at my egg Daddy!!!
Kimberly was very carefully writing on her egg with the magic crayon....
Kim Rox... or so I think it says!?
Kali didn't pay much attention to the colors. She really liked the eggs with the shrinkies on them. Can you see her shirt... it's covered in orange juice!! She likes to take the slices of oranges and squeeze them as hard as she can. I figured she didn't need to change if she was gonna color eggs. Also... isn't her night gown cute?? It's a girls medium undershirt that shrank in the dryer! super cute huh?
A good close up of Kali peeling off the shell. Thank goodness that she didn't try to EAT the shells. Rather she threw them on the floor for Coco... or so she said!! :-)
The aftermath!
Nathan uses drama in just about everything he does... goofball!!
His eggs turned out pretty good though!
At the end Kimberly took some of every color and mixed it all up! I don't have any pictures of that... Nathan described that egg as something that might have come out of a dinosaur!! Use your imagination!!

I think that Miss Kali really enjoyed coloring eggs!! Maybe next year she'll actually use the color and not take off the peels??

Let the games begin!!

I don't have any pictures for this posting because it was too cold to get little Kali out. Today Kimberly and Nathan finally played their first game. Last week's game was cancelled due to poor field conditions. Yesterday's game was cancelled due to cold weather. Today it was super chilly but play on they did!! Mike said it was a wonderful game. They won 5 to 0 and seemed wiped out when they got home. I tried to at least get pictures of them crashed on the couches after their game but I got a lot of whining that they didn't want their pictures taken. Anyhow, let's hope that this is the last of the icky weather because I would like to go to some games and have action shots to show of the kids and their rockin' soccer skills!!

Shhhhh... Daddy is sleeping!!

We got a movie the other night, Beowulf, and Mike wasn't impressed that it was live action that looked like cartoon. Long story short he made better use of his time and took a two hour nap on the couch!! He told me that I better not post the picture on the blog... OOPS!! About 90 minutes into his little nap Kali went right up to Mike and grabbed his nose and said... Hi Daddy!! Too bat the batteries in my camera were dead, would have made for a cute picture! :-)

Lovin the nice weather!

The weather was so nice last week that Kali and I went to the park to play. Last year she wasn't old enough to appreciate the fun stuff... as you will see she has gotten over that!
Kali loves her horsey at home and the horsey at the park!! She was rocking on it so fast that I thought for sure she would hit her head. Luckily we were good to go!!
Here she is climbing up to the slide...

Now almost to the middle platform...

This next run of pictures is showing how obsessed Kali was with the slide!! She enjoyed going down the slide but then kept trying to go up the slide. Half the time she wanted to hold my hand and then she'd try to take off! It was super cute!

I finally broke free of her hand but you can see here that Kali is still reaching out for me!

What a big girl!!

Ahhhh, yes, Kali has Daddy's phone. If you look closely she is gazing at a picture of Uncle Chuck and BoBo. I had Auntie Amanda send this picture to Daddy's phone so that she could always see both of them whenever she wants. She won't let chuck get within 2 feet of her but she sure does love to look at his picture!! In case you were wondering she didn't get to the picture completely on her own but she does know how to unlock the screen and has called a few people and even made videos on his phone without us knowing. How do they learn this stuff??
Since Kali has discovered that there are actually cartoons on the TV her hands down favorite is Dora the Explorer. We made the mistake of buying a movie with a few episodes on it and now that's all she ever wants on the TV. She goes and finds the case and points to the TV saying,"Dora! Please! Please!!" Hey, at least she is saying please right??:-)

Sometimes... and I'm a bit embarrassed by this one.. when we are busy in the morning getting Kimberly and Nathan off to school, we put Kali's highchair and breakfast in the living room to watch her morning cartoons. She doesn't even notice that we're not right next to her eating breakfast and she actually eats more this way! No no no, we don't do this on a regular basis. This particular morning was crazy and there were some sleepy slow kids being shuffled through the house.
Kali ALWAYS makes sure that she has her purse before she and Baby go to the store. If you peeked inside of the purse you would see that she has a little wallet and a plastic blue phone. What a big girl!!
She is so good at making sure Baby is safely in her seat just like Mama does with Kali at the store! Can you see in the back of the cart how she is still holding on to her purse?

The Wheels on the Bus...

I don't need too may words for these pictures... her facial expressions say it all!! There are school bus shopping carts at HyVee and I just recently decided that Kali was big enough to ride in them. She LOVES going to the store now. Not sure that I would have thought to take bring the camera along to the store, but daddy requested a picture! Doesn't she look super cute?? ENJOY!!

She can ALMOST see over the steering wheel!!
"Mama can you PLEASE stop taking pictures... you're embarrassing me!"

Happy Birthday Mama!!

Tuesday was my birthday and it was a good one! I got a new watch for work and a gift card to go clothes shopping. We also went out to dinner at Longhorn and it was super yummy. When we got home Mike and the kids had a cake for me...
Look at what the funny guys did.... I was 27... not 72!! They wondered if I would notice. I'm not THAT old yet that I can't read numbers! Silly kids. The cake was yummy and I had a wonderful birthday.
Gotta make sure that the icing is to my liking...

Yup... it's tasty stuff!! Oops, got a little icing on my face... I'll get that later!! :-)

All that was left of Kali's slice of cake!! Can you tell that she loves the icing?!!
