Birthday Season

Kimberly and Nathan's birthday's are in the same month and they are only 11 months apart. That makes for a careful planning for parties!! Now they are too old to combine parties and prefer to do stuff with friends. So, that means that in August this year we had a party every 2 weeks leading into Kali's party the first weekend of September. Speaking of Kali, she has been very very helpful in making the cakes this year!!

Nathan's cake. It was stuffed with homemade cake batter ice cream. We were rushed in putting it together due to a couple of setbacks. It wasn't a pretty cake but it sure was tasty!!

Sleep over with cousin Kaelyn!

Kaelyn has started sleeping over at our house every once in a while and it's a lot of fun... they get so hyper and fired up and then... all of a sudden... they crash!

Ever since Kaelyn noticed we have a big tub she's been begging to take a swimming bath! Well, she got her wish! Here is Kaelyn and Kali splashing around in the whirlpool tub.

Deanna Rose Farmstead

Deanna Rose Farmstead has become a great and free day trip with the weather is nice!! Here are some great pictures of one of our many trips to the farm!

Kali woke up from her nap the other day to find that I had caught her a little frog and put it in a container with holes in it. She was so excited about it that we went out back to see if we could find some more. She was soooo funny! Enjoy the pictures and videos just as I enjoyed capturing them!

Summer fun!

This is our second year planting a garden. Since these pictures were taken everything has come up and is looking good! We currently have 5 different types of pumpkins in the ground, green beans, onions, tomatoes, bell peppers, jalapenos, watermelon, cantaloupe, and cucumbers! YUMMY!!

Trip to Deanna Rose Farmstead

Kali and I tagged along when Libby's preschool went to Deanna Rose Farmstead. It was so much fun and a perfect day for all of the animals to be out. Can't wait to go again!

First time Kali has ever seen a live bunny in person. She kept calling Libby over to see.

Kali and Landon were obsessed with the baby animals... here is a baby goat that was kept away from the big ones in the petty area. They were giggling!

Disney On Ice

Ashley and I took the kids to Disney on Ice April 4th. They had so much fun!! The show consisted of Mickey and the gang, Lion King, Lilo and Stitch, Peter Pan, and The Little Mermaid! Pictures of the show didn't turn out very well so here are a couple of cute pics from intermission.

A week before Easter my friend Ashley called and asked if we were going to the Raymore Easter Egg Hunt... my answer was well we are now! We rushed around and got there just in time! Kali was able to meet up with her friends Libby and Landon, and Maci and Sadie. What a fun morning!!

Kali found a really big egg and insisted I bring it home... it was purely for decoration.

Foley Outing!

Mike's cousin Kristie got married Easter weekend... so that means the Foley's had an outing!! We all were dressed up and had a good time. Congrats Kristie and Tiant... welcome to the family!

A little out of order but Kali and I went outside before everyone else was ready to leave. She strapped herself into the front seat and said OKAY LETS GO!! Funny girl!

Kali is a movie-aholic these days. She has started memorizing some of the dialogue too. The lastest and greatest for her is Madagascar 2... and here is her version of the famous part with the hippos,"Who's your friend or is that your butt?"

It just doesn't sound right when I'm at the store and my two year old is saying "butt" over and over again. She thinks she is soooooo funny!!

And sooooo cute too!!

Soccer season has begun...

Well... we were supposed to knock out 2 games this week. The game in Blue Springs was cancelled as of last Tuesday due to poor field conditions from all of the rain. THEN the game on Sunday in Belton was cancelled due to standing water on the fields as of Friday. Amazingly Kimberly and Nathan were not overly upset by the idea of another free weekend! By my eyes the fields were really nice on Sunday here in Belton... I know because we spent 4 hours at the park and it is right next to the fields... and there was a group of 10 guys/teens playing a pick-up game of soccer on the same field we were supposed to be playing on. ODD huh?? So anyhow this probably means that we'll be playing on Mother's Day weekend... NEAT! :-\

Sound the horns.....

Kali finally went PEE PEE in the potty!! I caught her with a dry diaper this morning and she was very willing to sit on the potty and low and behold she successfully went pee!!! Now since then we've changed a couple of wet diapers but for now I'm happy with her being willing to sit on the potty and one successful attempt under our belt... or rather under the lid!! :-P

BIG baby!!

This is an odd picture!! Kali wanted to be held like a baby so I wrapped her up nice and tight!! Notice the binkie?? She plays with it but doesn't really suck on it... it was totally for effect! :-)

Bunny Love!!

Aunt Traci got Kali this super cute bunny as an early Easter gift. She LOVES it!! Here she is on her Diego car... she won't put it down!! Thanks Aunt Traci... I love you!!!
