Bad Driver!!

Ummmm, if she is anything like this when she's 16 Daddy gets to teach her to drive!! Yikes! Don't worry... the big car escaped with no dents and Kali did not drive into the street!

Cutie!

I took this picture today... I just love it!!

Making the rounds...

Kali gets to spend a lot of time with Nana and Papa Foley because we live in the same town as them. Every so often we made a trip up North to get some Coldwell time in!! Here are a few pics of Grandma and Papa Coldwell.
This is the goofy Papa!! :-)
She loves to crawl in bed with Grandma with a snack... grapes this time... and relax! Grandma always puts on a movies for her. She has a good time!

Grandma sure does love Kali!! Kali loves to cuddle with Grandma!!

Winter Fun!!

This has been a mild but long winter! We've been creative on keeping busy!! :-)
Indoor fishing??
Here kitty kitty... cat fish on the stairs??
Kali loves loves loves her movies! She loves movies better than TV and here she is with a copy of Cinderella. Oh yeah, and check out the super cute hat from Aunt Cherie and Uncle George.
Ahhhh... what a cute face!

Random Pictures!

I have an apron that used to be Nana Coby's and Kali like to wear it and call herself a princess. This time I gave her a "wand" to wave around!
"Oh... you think I'm cute??"
Kimberly is trying to act like a teen: Unable to stay awake in the daylight hours after staying up way into the darkest latest hours! She didn't even flinch after this picture was taken.
Kali ended up coming with me to Lisa's wedding shower and played catch phrase with us! She kept saying root beer and so I thought this sticker was appropriate for her! :-)
The face of a kid about to fall asleep in the car! She was out 5 minutes after this picture!
Kali likes to block out her surroundings and hide in her Dora tent! Sometimes she brings her favorite Dora movie in too!

BIg girl thinks she is a baby!!

I started to move all of Kali's big baby items when she very quickly intercepted them!
Here she is acting like her infant tub is also her cradle! Her legs are so long these days! She asked for a blanket and then said "Night night Mommy!"
Like the stretched face?? I was bagging up her bumper when she quickly took it from me... without much of a fight I will admit... and then made a little play-pen out of it!
And then played in her playpen! :0) She loves that little learning table... I'll have to sneak all of this stuff down another day when she's napping!! For now it's cute and she's happy so we aren't going to fight it!

Check out THOSE muscles!

Kali got into the closet this morning and found her 0-9months robe... um, it's a bit tight! :-)

Flex those muscles!!

New Year's Resolution??

As the new year approached Mike and I decided that we really needed to get ourselves healthier! I hate to label this as a New Year's Resolution because we've been talking about it for some time now. Officially though we have both begun eating a little bit healthier, including vitamins, and taking advantage of our community center membership. The indoor pool recently opened up and with it came more options for working out! Plus, the kids LOVE the pool!! Anyhow... labeling getting healthy as a New Year's Resolution is just asking for failure so let's just say that our real resolution is to attend church more often as a family! Happy New Year everyone!!

Christmas Left-Overs!

To wrap up our Christmas Festivities we celebrated the Saturday after with the Coldwell family at Grandma and Papa Coldwell's house. Papa dressed up like Santa and we did White Elephant gifts with the adults. We had a great time!
The only picture I managed to capture for the whole night! :-( At least it's a super cute one of Nina, Nicole, and Kali. She loves those big girls!
We set up this Dora and Boots table from Nana and Papa Foley as soon as we got home!

She LOVES this table and chairs!!

Merry Christmas!!

The festivities started off after I got off work. Mike and the kids went to Christmas Eve service at church and I beat them home from work. Mike's side of the family always comes over after church on Christmas Eve where we eat good food, watch Christmas Vacation, and now do White Elephant gift exchange. We had a great time! After everyone left we revealed to Nathan that he got a new orange kitty for Christmas. He was sooooo excited! We gave it to him early because it wouldn't be fair for him to get it and then have to leave for his mom's and leave the kitty behind.
*******
Well, for Christmas I was a bad photographer!! I came away with two pictures from the entire morning!! The actual Christmas morning started off with me being cancelled which was great! The kids slept until 8 am when Kali made her rounds. As is tradition they started off with their stockings while we made coffee. Everyone had a cup of juice or coffee and then we headed into present time!! I had to help Kali because she kept lunging for the other kids' gifts and that's why I didn't take many pics. In all it was a great day. Mike and I felt blessed to have been able to get as much stuff for the kids as we did and also we found the holiday with most of us healthy. Mike was still holding on to his cold Christmas morning but now he is feeling better! :-)
Here's Kali sporting two of her favorite gifts... her Mermaid night gown and her Hello Kitty spin brush. :-)
Here is Nathan's new Christmas kitty... Tiger! This little toy was in his stocking and he LOVES it! It's a fish on the end of a fishing pole and then mounted on the glass on the back door. He had logged a few hours with it since he joined our family on Christmas Eve!
*******
Kimberly and Nathan went off to their mom's house before lunch and Mike and I cleaned up and Kali played with her new toys. Later after nap time we went over to Vic and Carolyn's house to celebrate with the Foley's. Again no pictures but it was fun! The kids all opened presents and played. What a great day!!
*******
Christmas kept on going for us on into Saturday with the Coldwell's. Mom and Dad's house was full of 30+ people and we made the most of it! After good food and white elephant gifts paired with lots of laughs... Santa AKA Dad made an appearance. Kali flipped out until he pulled down the beard and revealed that he was in fact Papa. We have captured this on the camcorder and I am working on getting it on the blog... super funny!!

Cookie Central

We made Christmas cookies Tuesday night before Christmas and boy was it an adventure. After we got the prepackaged dough out I realized that i had everything except for cutters!! :- It was interesting. We used skewers to cut out our shapes... which didn't work out very well but we made due!
Who wants to help clean up this mess??
Kali liked that I had a bowl of flour on the table!

She also LOVED using the rolling pin! Poor Nathan.. he made the perfect pac-man and she flattened it right away!! :-)
Kimberly was soooo careful with shaping her cookies.
Kali not so much...
Nathan took the little bit of everything approach.
And then we named it the "Sugar Turd!"
She was so proud of her cookies. She did a great job!!
Kali wanted to lick all of the icing off of Santa's face! Funny girl!

Snow Angel...

A couple of years ago I dared Nathan to run out into the snow without a shirt and do a snow angel! It was his time again!! What a good sport...

How much is that Kitty in the Christmas tree??

This year Kitty was obsessed with actually climbing up into the tree. Can you spot her??

Luckily the tree never did fall down!

Party Girl!!

Kali and I went to Adrienne and Brent's wedding last weekend. It was BEAUTIFUL! She was a stunning bride and he was so handsome and glowing when he saw his new wife. We wish them nothing but happiness!
The ceremony was beautiful and for the most part Kali was quiet.
After eating some good grub Kali was ready for cake! The only problem was that they hadn't cut the cake yet. Kai threatened to stick her finger in the cake when Brent offered up the slice that he had just cut. That's right, they were at the head table eating cake before everyone else. I guess that's a perk to it being YOUR wedding! Anyhow, Brent had taken one bit of cake and then offered it up to Kali. SO here she is sitting on the floor chowing down on her cake! Thanks guys so much... it really made her day!!
She did leave me one or two bites and I have to say that it was AMAZING!!
Kali was so sweet when it came time to say goodbye to Adrienne. She gave her a big kiss on the cheek and this big hug! What a big girl!!
On the way to the car Kali found this huge leaf... she thought she was big time! It's bigger than her head.

Splish Splash!

Little Pee-wee was taking a bath the other morning and I couldn't figure out why she was screaming... well here it is. She can entertain herself with just about anything these days. She was looking in the shower mirror and screaming at her reflection. Crazy kid!

Dancing Diva

Mike is very proud to know that Kali loves rock music! I finally captured her little dancing feet... and her droopy diaper!! Enjoy.

Gingerbread... er graham cracker... houses '08!

We attempted to make our version of gingerbread houses with graham crackers this weekend. Mike does not have a house represented because it is still under construction. Being as he draws house plans for a living you can expect a pretty extravagant house when it's all said and done! Until then here are three exciting houses to entertain you all!
Kimberly and Destiny made this work of art! They decided that a flat roof was more sturdy? Um do you notice that the entire right side is collapsed?? I think that they may rethink that idea next year??!!
This is Nathan's house. He went for the barn look. He says that the candy on top is similar to the Plaza Lights! I like the element of the open barn door!

Here is the house that Kali and I constructed! It's kind of bare because she started to
throw a fit and we didn't get o finish. Oh well! Check out my mailbox!! :-)

Silly Kitty!!

Kitty loves to get into small spaces! This bin was on the floor in our bedroom with an old backpack in it... random yes I know... and low and behold we found her sleeping in it! I heard Coco whining standing outside of the bin! She LOVES to torture Coco!!

Time to decorate for Christmas!

We put the tree up the day after Thanksgiving and it was fun! We got a new 9 foot tree this year and I found that I almost didn't have enough decorations for it!
I'm having a hard time keeping that darn star straight on the top of the tree!
Here's the three little Foley's... Kali, Kimberly, and cousin Kaelyn. This is a classic Foley Christmas time picture. Aren't they cute??!!

Winter Wonderland!?

Last weekend we got a package in the mail that was full of packing peanuts. As a diversionary measure to get out of the door without Kali I settled her in our room with the box. Mike soon called me on my cell phone thanking me for sharing the packing peanuts with her. Of course I told him he HAD to document the fun!! I guess she was treating the foam peanuts like they were snow flakes! What and imagination!!

This is the aftermath of our bedroom! Kimberly was a champ and helped clean them up... after she herself tried to make a snow-angel! Too bad I didn't get a picture of that one!! :-)
